Needle threader / threader
For some it sounds strange, explaining how the threader works, but for some it will be a novelty. I have encountered questions about how this thing works. We got it on the needles and we don’t know what it’s for. So here I will try to describe this little thing and explain how it works.
Needle threader how it works and how to use it
A needle threader is a small device that makes threading needles easier. There are several different types of needle threaders, but they all work on the same principle.
How to use the needle threader:
- Prepare thread, needle and threader.
- Pull the thread of the threader through the eye of the needle.
- Pull the thread through the resulting loop from the threader wire (on the other side of the needle eye).
- Slowly pull the threader back through the eye of the needle and thread. With a thicker thread or yarn, or a small eye of the needle, you will have to use a little more force to pull the wire and thread through the eye of the needle.
- After stretching you are done. The thread is threaded into the eye of the needle.
There are different types of needle threaders:
- Needle threader with a hook: This type of threader. It has a hook that catches the thread and pulls it through the eye of the needle.
- Guided needle threader: This type of needle threader has a guide that guides the thread into the eye of the needle.
- Automatic needle threader: This type of threader is part of the sewing machine.
Very simple tool and also very useful!!!
