Wool carpet care
Wool rugs are beautiful, durable and warm. However, in order for them to stay beautiful for a long time, it is important to take care of them properly.
- Unlike synthetic carpets, wool carpets do not tolerate much moisture. Therefore, remove dirt and dust by vacuuming regularly.
- When cleaning woolen carpets, do not use any detergents with bleaches, dyes or optical brighteners. Only products with a neutral pH are suitable.
- Do not expose woolen carpets to direct sunlight, they could fade. Do not place flower pots on top of them to prevent mold.
- If a stain appears on the carpet, it should be removed as soon as possible. Use an oily core soap for this. Apply the soap to the sponge and gently scrub the stain. Then wipe off the soap with a damp cloth.
- If the stain is strong, it is better to entrust the cleaning to a professional. They also recommend cleaning and impregnating the carpet once a year so that it stays clean for a longer time.
A properly cared for woolen carpet will give you pleasure for many years.
